CMSE will not usually enter any form of confidentiality agreement with respect to work performed in its facilities.

The University environment is one of open intellectual exchange.   Staff are under no obligation of confidentiality in their work.  CMSE cannot, therefore, sign a confidentiality agreement with respect to any outside work performed in its facilities.  In particular, the fact that an outside organization has made use of CMSE facilities is a matter on the public record.

Where a user has a clear need for confidentiality, and has no other recourse, then the SEF Team Leader (Dr. Garratt-Reed) is willing to work with them to try to make arrangements that will meet their needs, but this cannot be guaranteed, and there will always be some risk that the use of the facility, and the results obtained, will become public knowledge.
